Dear students,

Pregnancy and puerperal phase are periods of special attention in the women’s psychological sphere, marked by the development of a new being. The mother’s modified psychological state during pregnancy and postpartum period can affect the mother-infant relationship.

Considering these aspects, this work intents to describe mood swings in the postpartum period, identify differential diagnosis regarding postpartum mood and characterize postpartum changes.
